Privacy in brief
- Website: hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google Ireland). No cookies, no tracking, no external fonts. Technical server logs (IP address, time, page) are processed to deliver the site securely.
- Account: sign-in via Google or Apple through Firebase Authentication. Other users only see your profile (e.g. first name, photos, country, languages) – never your email address.
- Chats, images and calls: messages and images are stored in Google Firebase so they can be delivered. Video calls use WebRTC and are not recorded by us.
- Selfie verification: voluntary. The selfie is only used to check that a profile is real and is deleted after the review.
- Reports and moderation: if a chat is reported, administrators can view it to review the report. Accounts that break the rules can be banned.
- Ads and analytics: the free version shows ads via Google AdMob; personalised ads and Google Analytics for Firebase are only activated after you consent in the consent dialog (Google UMP); you can change your choice in the app's privacy settings. Pro users see no ads.
- Purchases: TalkFlag Pro (one-time €9.99) is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive payment details.
- Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent under the GDPR – contact daniel@holderied.org. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
- Account deletion: delete your account at any time in the app via Profile → Delete account. This removes your profile, photos, the link between you and your chats, and your login.
- Age: TalkFlag is only for adults aged 18 and over.
