What is TalkFlag?
TalkFlag is a free app for Android and iOS that lets you have anonymous one-on-one random chats with people from around the world. You can filter by country, language and gender, send photos and switch to video chat.
Is TalkFlag free?
Yes. All the core features are free: random chat, filters for country, language and gender, favorites, photos and video chat. The free version shows ads.
How much does TalkFlag Pro cost – is it a subscription?
Pro is a one-time purchase of €9.99, not a subscription. You get extra filters (age, distance, photo only, verified only), 20 instead of 3 new chats per hour, more profile pictures and no ads.
How old do I have to be to use TalkFlag?
18. TalkFlag is strictly for adults. Anyone who seems underage can be reported.
Is TalkFlag anonymous?
Yes. Others only see your profile, such as your first name, pictures, country and languages. Your email address and phone number are not shown.
How does the random chat work?
You tap Start and get connected with a random person who's online right now and matches your filters. If the conversation isn't a fit, one tap takes you to the next person.
Can I filter by country or language?
Yes, for free. You can choose a country (with flag), a language and a gender. Pro adds filters for age, distance, photo only and verified only.
What does the blue checkmark mean?
The blue checkmark shows that a profile has been confirmed through selfie verification. It helps you tell real people apart from fake profiles.
What happens to my verification selfie?
The selfie is used only for the check and is deleted afterwards. It is not shown on your profile.
Why can I only start 3 new chats per hour?
The new-chat limit protects against spam: nobody can message huge numbers of people. Existing chats are not limited. With Pro, the limit is 20 new chats per hour.
Is there video chat?
Yes. Once you've texted each other, you can start a video call. You can accept or decline incoming calls.
How do I report or block someone?
In the chat, choose “Report” from the menu, select a reason and optionally block the person. Reports are reviewed by real people.
Who can read my chats?
Other users can't see your chats. If a chat is reported, the moderation team may view it to review the report.
Is TalkFlag an alternative to Omegle?
Yes. Omegle shut down in November 2023. TalkFlag is a random chat app that also connects you with strangers, but for adults 18+ only and with verification, filters and spam protection. Like Chatroulette, it offers video – but only after you've texted.
Is TalkFlag good for learning languages?
Yes. With the language and country filters, you can find native speakers of the language you want to practice, such as Spanish, Portuguese or Turkish.
Which devices does TalkFlag run on?
TalkFlag is available as an app for Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). There is no web version.
Can I continue conversations later?
Yes. Save someone as a favorite, and you'll be able to find the chat again and keep talking anytime.
How can I get Pro for free?
Invite friends with your invite code. When they enter the code after signing up, you both get 7 days of Pro for free.
